I fished it straight out of the package and didn't have any issues. Caught my biggest bag of smallmouth this year mostly on one with the stock hooks. Unfortunately they discontinued the color that worked so well for me.

That's awesome to hear.  I'll keep flip-flopping the two options in my head.  Everything I watch and read about the Rerange has been awesome, though!

Did you get a look at the action?  If so, how would you describe it?  Wide dart, easy to work, suspends well?  How much flash?

I fish Yo Zuri 3DB in salt and fresh. Hooks are good, doesn't cast the farthest but great action. It digs down a little deeper than some which is nice too. I agree with the pointer being a good bait. I have found that fishing a Duo, pointer, and vision side by side the MB cast farther with less effort. I fish it in open water and have never broken a lip....knock on wood.

The Duel version (sister company of Yo-Zuri), has flat sides. It has a lively action with a lot of roll and wobble at rest. It suspends well and has a lot of flash due to the flat sides and finish they have.

Lucky Craft Pointer 100SP.

The Vision 110 hasn't produced as I thought it would. Somewhat disappointed but still I haven't given up on it. The 110 +1 has had better results. Picked up the 110 +2 this season but haven't used it much yet. That will soon change.

The Jackall Rearrange 110 did produce well this past spring but the Rapala Husky Jerk 10 in Glass Blue Minnow was outstanding right up until mid June and has been hot the last couple of the trips.

Anyone have experience with the Rapala Husky Jerks? I got two of those - an HJ10 and HJ12 - that I'm hoping to have luck with this weekend.

I actually use the bigger Husky Jerks trolling for trout.  I use the HJ-8 size for lake smallie fishing.

Yes, they are a great bait. They don't cast all that far but a good bait for rivers, streams, and lakes around here. Have a buddy that only fishes the chrome w/ green ones with great success.

I'm not exactly broke, but I'm d**n cheap.  The H2O Xpress Ultimate Jerk Shad is my favorite jerkbait this time of year and in the spring.

I lose a lot of lures (combination of sloppy casting and fishing around slop), and that one occupies a unique place in my box in that it catches good fish for me and I don't feel like an ******* when I invariably lose it.

Yeah, I don't use them for bass, but I catch trout with them pretty frequently, I see no reason that they wouldn't work just as well on a bass, I just never get around to them.

My favorite is whichever the fish are biting, obviously...lol, on a serious note, I like ghost colors with a bit of flash in them, something like a Rapala Ghost Minnow or thereabouts, more often than not the winter conditions I end up fishing are pretty clear water, often the most clear of any time of the year, I like to think that the fish can see and hear them a pretty fair way off, and I want the bit of light to catch the shiny part, but I don't want to throw something they see really well at them, the idea being to make them come take a look, I like the KVD jerkbait, and the Rapala Ripstops, I would be happy with either if I were forced to choose,  it I'm glad I don't have to lol

After catching this from a well lit fishing pier on the MB Vision 110 (in February no less) and getting to watch the fish charge over and smack it, there's a likely a good reason others are battling for 2nd place. It also casts easy and far.

The Lucky Craft Pointer 110 SP is similarly nice, but maybe it would be good to have something considerably different. . .

Which then begs the question: Can an angler have too may jerkbaits? LOL

I do pretty well with them.  They don't have a ton of action, but that's why I think they work so well  in really cold and really warm water.  They don't cast as well as other JBs with weight transfer systems.  I would definitely recommend upgrading the stock hooks.  For what you pay for them they are pretty hard to beat.

Not a big fan of the MB 110 either. They catch fish but man are they fragile. I've found I fish too many rocks to own them apparently. My favorites are the Duo Realis 110 and Rozante 77sp, KVD 300 (excited to try the 100 also), 6th Sense Provoke 106, and the Duel Hardcore minnow flat sp (which I believe is now the Yo-Zuri 3DB Series jerkbait).

I dont know how the Rozantes aren't more popular then they are.  I hear a lot of people praising the Pointer 78, its a good JB, but IMO the Rozy 77 beats in every way other then color selection.  Duo has great colors, but they've discontinued some awesome patterns.  Im anxious to see how the 85s do this winter.  Whats your favorite Duo pattern?

I have 2 that I would recommend:  6th Sense Provoke in perch and MB 110 also in perch.  I have caught more fish on the Zoom Super Fluke in bluegill flash.  I have the KVDs too in perch that have caught a few.
