Super User ChrisD46 Posted September 16, 2020 Super User Posted September 16, 2020 Anyone use the Storm Arashi Cover Pop in the Fall ? Unlike other poppers - this one walks easily and stays in the strike zone a long time which would seem to be ideal near ambush points ... Comes in some nice shad and blue gill colors too . For open water I would probably stay more with a walking bait that covers more water - your thoughts ? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 16, 2020 Global Moderator Posted September 16, 2020 I've been using a Berkley Bullet Pop. Was not a fan of the Arashi at all. I didn't find it to be an easy popper to walk and it had a tendency to dig under the surface more than I like. The Bullet Pop cast and walks very well, so I've been sticking with it. Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted September 16, 2020 Super User Posted September 16, 2020 I’m a big fan of the Cover Pop. I actually think it walks very easily and like the fact every 3-4 turns it pops too. Adds a dimension other topwater lures don’t have. It’s best around high percentage spots where you know the right presentation will get bit. For long shorelines in search mode, I stick to either a Whopper Plopper in open water, or a Buzzbait around cover. That being said I have caught more fish in the past 3 years on the Cover Pop 3:1 over any other topwater lure. 1 Quote

Cdn Angler Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I have not, but the Ima Finesse Popper has been lights out for me and is incredibly easy to walk, even for a rube like me. Quote
