Miabucman Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 I agree with @txchaser. I watch the videos when I can but I have an hour commute every morning and afternoon that I listen to podcasts. Not sure how tough it would be to start up but I would definitely check it out. Hoss Quote
schplurg Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hey I've mentioned the BR vids many times! I've watched almost all of them. They have been my number one source for informational videos, hands down. They're long enough, short enough, and to the point. And the host is cool as well. I also haven't watched many vids in over a year due to limited internet so I have a lot of making up to do. I'm moving in a few days so I got a lot of content to watch if I want to once I do. Quote

Lay it on me. Do I suck that bad? Don't hold back. Hey, Glenn. Just saw this. No, you don't suck! :)) Only thing I could offer is advice given to me a while back. Having education focused channels we end up with a lot of talking head time. So it helps to break that up with clips and graphics. Just makes things more interesting to watch. It's extra work but helps keep some people from clicking away. I am much more at risk of that than you are however. Quote

For example, if you are talking about fishing a dropoff, show what it looks like on the map, then show a side view of a ledge and how the fish are positioned on it. I can't recall who does this with these quick hand drawings, making it visual was really helpful. I still think there's space for a BR podcast. So many of the existing ones are too much guys chatting and not enough new info or good stories that contain info. Quote
