Anyone have experience with both rods that can compare the two tips? I've read that the Heavy can throw 3/8oz and that it has a relatively soft tip. I am looking for a versatile rod especially for football jigs (3/8-1/2) out deep. I fish lanier a lot so I dont throw a lot of heavy weights but I want to be able to have the backbone when I need it. I have the 72mh expride but I havent used it much so I dont remember what the tip is like. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

I have the 76H Expride. I actually got it the other day and have about an hour or hour and half of jig fishing with it. Fished mainly with a 1/2 oz jig with a trailer and it's hard to describe the rod exactly, but I think the tip is a little stiffer than most people give the rod credit for.

I've only looked at the 76MH, haven't fished with it, but I think it might be the better rod for 3/8 and 1/2 oz jigs.
