nhpleasantlakebass Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 After 4 years without my little boat and strictly kayak fishing from my feel free lure and hobie compass I finally had time to rebuild the lower end of my 1998 25hp merc. Looking for ideas on how to better utilize this 1967 whaler fir my fishing needs. Thinking about a platform on the front and somehow a bow mounted trolling motor. Quote
kjfishman Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Tiny Boat Nation has some great builds mostly tin boats but no reason you couldn't adapt to your Whaler. You could get ideas from them on Youtube and https://www.facebook.com/Tinyboats 2 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted September 3, 2020 Super User Posted September 3, 2020 I'd put a TM and bracket up front, update electronics, restore the teak, polish the gel coat, and go fishing. Sweet ride, BTW! 1 Quote
Alex from GA Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 If you want to go inexpensive you can use a transom mount trolling motor on the front with an L bracket. I have a 14' glass boat that I did that and it works great. If you want I'll take a picture. 1 Quote
