Fishnski48 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Does anyone have experience with KK Florokote and KK braid. Are they good lines? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 The 50# braid is what I've been using and it works as well as any of the dozen or so others I've tried. 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 I use KK Superpower braid from 10-40# I have no complaints. Its a good braid considering the price. I also used KK Florokote line in 8# and 12#. Again it's a good line for $6 a spool. My only complaint is the line felt "bumpy" when I run it between my fingers to check for integrity. Quote
LCG Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 I have used 10-30lb 4 carrier braid in their superpower series. It's good line but it's thicker diameter than listed. Holds color well enough. Inexpensive in the 500yd spools. Giving 832 or power pro v2 super slick a try soon as I want to try an 8 carrier braib in 40lb for my casting set up. Quote
Mbirdsley Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I’ve been using the 20 lbs flouro kote all summer on one of my rods and as leader material. For main line I’ve been using it on my swim jig/ extra jig pole and I have no complaints I think it may be better than the p-line flouroclear that I have rigged up on three rods. I’ve also been using it on my carbonlight combo as a leader with 30lbs pp braid for main line. I have caught a lot of fish on that combo so far. Bass on swim jig and that big old mr. whiskers came while using it as leader material fishing a chigger craw t-rigged Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 29, 2020 Global Moderator Posted August 29, 2020 I like the Super Power braid, both on spinning and casting gear. I still get some nicer braid for a few applications, but for general use line, it works well. Quote
Fishnski48 Posted August 29, 2020 Author Posted August 29, 2020 thanks for the comparison to P-Line flouroclear, that's what I use also Bluebasser86 what size line do you like for spinning reels. Quote
jbrew73 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I bought some kk mono for catfish and was pleasantly surprised by the diameter and suppleness. No complaints so far. I would give the lines you’re asking about a shot in a heartbeat. Quote

I use the 12lb a majority of the time on spinning reels. Quote
