TheNoviceFisher Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 You're stuck on an island, you can only take ONE lure with you to use to catch your food or and /have fun, what would be your choice? Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 If it were 1 and not one type, I’d want a hard floater so Zara Spook for me. If you mean one type then plastic worms. Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 I agree with Jig Man. If it’s one only, it’d have to be something that lasts a long time. Maybe a Whopper Plopper. If it’s one type, it’d be an easy choice for me. A 5” Senko. Quote
Str8BraidPowa Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Island with Lilly pads around it...... R2S Spittin Wa 2. Just cuz I love frogging more than anything else. If it was for food it would be a orange/yellow/green spinner bait. 2 Quote
Jermination Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 7 inch green pumpkin finesse worm on a shaky head 1 Quote
Tizi Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 5 inch senko with various rigging options. 2 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 A marabou crappie jig . 1 Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 T rig 6" plastic worm. Quote
Super User gim Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 Something more durable than a soft plastic since there will likely be saltwater fish with teeth present. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 Marabou jigs use to be supplied in USN survival kits . 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 If it's a deserted island, it better be something for saltwater. But seriously, it would probably be a Trick Worm. Quote
Bass Rutten Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Well an island probably doesn’t have bass, and if i was going to rely on this one lure to feed me I’d have to go with a small inline spinner, a mepps or a rooster tail. 4 Quote

Thats my thinking . Do we get a rod and reel to , or just some line ? A jig can always be tipped with a piece of worm , grub ... 1 Quote
Brett's_daddy Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I'd say some sort of dual willow blade spinnerbait. I wouldn't choose a soft plastic like a senko because I'm assuming you'd only have the 1 lure like the OP said and a soft plastic would be torn up and gone the first day. Quote

Smells like fish Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I'd probably catch a 25 pound largemouth and never be rescued lol yes I'd leave cave writing scratched into stone saying "RoadWarrior was right" and crude drawings of a big fish and a Senko. Quote

I'm telling you there is a better movie to be made from these posts in this thread than Castaway was!!!! Bass fishing, wild jungle women!! It would be a hit. I'd name the bass Gary Quote
