Super User DitchPanda Posted August 26, 2020 Super User Posted August 26, 2020 Who is using these? What are your preferred rigging methods? Looks like a great little smallmouth bait...I'm going to a small river tomorrow and I've got one T-rigged with an 1/8oz bullet, bead and a 1/0 round bend worm hook. 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 I Trig them as well as use them as jig trailers. Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 One of my best. I like them t rigged, on a light shakey head, or a split shot rig. My trig setup is exactly like yours. Good numbers bait 1 Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 These don't have the claw action that something like a Netbait Paca or a Rage craw does. I use them exclusively on Jewell style finesse jigs, which have been War Eagle or Santones with pretty heavy hooks for a finesse jig. I tried these Big Bites craws that are bigger but have similar claws, etc., and the look just doesn't translate. Tried fishing them Texas rigged, on a shakey head, and on a regular football jig, no dice. The Zoom Little Critters make a good trailer when it's cold or the bite is tough for me. Otherwise, I prefer a bit more action. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 27, 2020 Global Moderator Posted August 27, 2020 Much prefer the Crock-O-Gator Ring Craw. Similar but I get so many more fish with the Ring Craw for whatever reason. Quote

I bought those big bite one time and was not impressed. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 Use on the back of a Strike King Bitsy Bug jig or a smaller weight Bass Patrol football jig . I like the Yum Craw Bug too for same applications and a small profile . 1 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 I didn't use the "Lil" Critter Craw, but threw the Big Critter Craw for about 3 years. In 2006, Preston Clark won on Santee Cooper, which he accredited to a Zoom Big Critter Craw. Living on Walk-in-Water at the time, I threw the big critter claw almost exclusively for about 3 seasons. It’s very slender & streamlined craw that didn't require much weight to get thru the salad. I also liked its modest craws, rather than oversize craws made to attract the angler. It was killer for bigmouth & pickerel I drifted away from the critter craw, but thru no fault of the bait. Too many lures, too little time. Roger Quote

The crawbug is one of those baits that intrigue me. Yes it looks real but it also looks like it has no action. Yet guys that use them swear by them. May be time to throw a few bags in the cart! Quote

Sorry for the confusion. Still, the Yum Ned Craw should highly be considered for SK Bitsy Bug Jigs. Tremendous color options, Yum scent, Nice details, and perfect profile. Quote
