GReb Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Storm surge looks intense. Hopefully they are “over” predicting the situation. This will mess gator season up big time. 2 Quote

Sphynx Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Yeah, I am 60ish miles north of you Catt, think we're about in for it this year, our relative good luck over the last several years is going to be paid for this time I think, not at all pleased with the development of this storm, or it's chosen path, hope you and others in line end up getting a pass this time 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted August 26, 2020 Super User Posted August 26, 2020 Leaving IAH for my home in The Woodlands this afternoon I hit a pretty good downpour. Must be one of the first of the outer rainbands to make it this far. My wife gets off work at 7:00. I’m thinking about hitting the pond lol. 2 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted August 26, 2020 Super User Posted August 26, 2020 It just sucks. Living in FL on the east coast I know the feeling. The projected storm surge is scary. 2 Quote
TriStateBassin106 Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 To the gulf anglers on here be safe guys for real, watched the press conference today on Fox News about the storm surge possibly being high as a two story building, if you have the chance to evacuate from that area please do. It could save your life. We suffered tremendously during Hurricane Sandy up here. Didn't have power for 7 days and had to deal with flooding... 16 minutes ago, BrianMDTX said: Leaving IAH for my home in The Woodlands this afternoon I hit a pretty good downpour. Doesn’t need to speed up much to be a Cat 5. 11 mph. 1 Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted August 26, 2020 Super User Posted August 26, 2020 Hope everyone stays safe and comes through this okay. It is supposed be in here Friday dumping a bunch of rain on us. I hope @Catt knows that he is not allowed to fish in the aquarium at BPS unless he is doing a fishing demo. He also has to cut the hooks off of his baits so he can't actually hook one. 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted August 26, 2020 Super User Posted August 26, 2020 I pray everyone in this storms path stays safe. This looks bad. 1 Quote

volzfan59 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I now live in southern AR, just north of Monroe, LA. They're forecasting winds of 45 mph gusting at 75 to 90 mph per Weather Underground. That plus lots and lots of rain. This is new to me. 1 Quote
