One of the most effective plastics I have ever fished: Rage Tail Baby Craw.

We used to have a lot of chatter on this bait, but not so much in recent years.

On one day during a BassResource Roadtrip at Pickwick the Baby produced 140

smallmouth for Big O and two soldiers he hosted. Additionally, both Warriors

caught Personal Bests.

T-rig this lure on spinning tackle, light line, bullet weight and a #2/0 worm hook.

Let the Baby fall to the bottom, then slowly retrieve with an occasional lift.   Be

very careful, you might get your arm broke!

In Florida, mat-punching is a way-of-life in summer.

My go-to punch trailer has become the Baby Rage Craw.

Downsizing works for largemouth bass too.  When the bite gets tough, try flipping a Zoom 4" finesse worm.

I never tried the baby ones, Almost always the regular size.
When I need to down size I use the bug.
Especially for punching which I’ve said many times I’d rather do than anything else.

The Rage Bug & Rage Craw (full-size) are my long-time favorite punch trailers (the bug for neutral fish).

Moving to the 'baby' craw, offers a little better weed penetration and seems to produce more strikes.

Yeah, I'm hooked on punching too   :happy76:

Amen!

The Baby Rage Craw is my T-Rig bait of choice for river Smallmouth Bass. 1/8 oz Strike King Tungsten weight, 1/0 Owner worm hook. I throw this on casting gear, 7' Medium action rod and 10# Yo-Zuri Hybrid line.

Which swing head do you use for that? I have trouble finding any swing heads with small 2/0 or 1/0 hooks.

There are a few models out there that allow for the user to select and or change the hook type/size.

Mustad & Strike King both make them.
