Tatsu Dave Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Hello to all members and staff, was looking for a place to set my tackle box and call home. Hail from the state of Maine where puckerbrush and dirt boat ramps are common, hope to meet lots of ya on the forum and learn much, knowledge seems to abound here. Retired now so life is simpler, fish summer to early fall and hunt late fall and early winter. Time during our cozy winters for gun and boat work. You'll notice I post a lot about flourocarbon line's - soft plastic bait's - and finesse spinning setup's.......not exactly a full spectrum fisherman but have spent about 36 year's honing the methods I use. Thank you for providing this resource to enjoy and make friends in........see everyone in the forums Dave Quote

Fishingmickey Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Welcome aboard Dave! Spent much time on China lake yet? My sweetheart and I have been making a annual trip up to the Belgrade lakes area for the last several years. We usually go the week after Labor day. I don't think it is in the cards this year. Tatsu Dave Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Know a fella that fishes it pretty steady all summer, hes done better than most years and caught and released some 3-4lb bass. Thinks its less pressure this year due to covid, son and I either want to hit webber or china yet this year. Quote

Several largemouth and smallmouth in the 3-4lb range. Quite a few smaller and some pickerel. Had 20-30 fish days. I got about 2.5 days of fishing in on China. FM Quote

FM Yea we're going out friday morning so maybe that will be the day for china lake. I don't know about other parts of the country but we usually catch 20 fish or more anytime we go out, not boasting.......you gotta have the fish numbers to start with but have had several 50+ fish days this year. Fishing pressure is so much less and fish aren't as lure shy or hammered on as steady. Thank You A-Jay your pics are pretty cool especially fighting fish on boat Quote
