sorethumb Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I am going to try a floating worm for the first time. What hook do y’all use? I have a good many truturn hooks, would they be fine or should I get a certain one? Thanks for you time and any help. ><> del 1 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted August 19, 2020 Super User Posted August 19, 2020 Nothing wrong with Tru-Turn hooks. 1 Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted August 19, 2020 Super User Posted August 19, 2020 What size are your worms? Quote
sorethumb Posted August 20, 2020 Author Posted August 20, 2020 6 inch white and 6 inch pink. I think they are Zoom Quote
Super User RoLo Posted August 20, 2020 Super User Posted August 20, 2020 Worms that float, when tossed into the bathroom basin are abundant. Worms that float with a hook installed, are like hen's teeth. I used Tru-Turn hooks during their infancy (cam-action), but was not impressed with their hook-up ratio. In any case, size 3/0 should be fine with 6" Zoom worms. Do you have a particular presentation in mind? Roger 1 Quote
sorethumb Posted August 27, 2020 Author Posted August 27, 2020 No sir. Just chunk it and jerk it. Let it sit, ****** it again Quote
Super User WRB Posted August 27, 2020 Super User Posted August 27, 2020 Most hand pours like Roboworm, Uptom's Customs, Double Z, and Iovino worms. Zoom Trick worms don't float. We used a worm called Super Float the air foamed soft plastic and Mister Twister made Super Float worms. Super Floats floated like a bobber! Catt like Double Z. Tom Quote
