South Florida is full of exotics species that were released as pets and are now reproducing. These guys were first spotted in 1980 and are now established in several canals. Quote
mrpao Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I would love fishing there, especially since I've been keeping fish since a young boy. I would have aquariums full of exotics. Quote
DanielG Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 My daughter sent me this article on microfishing today. Her comment in the email was... They won't be laughing at you any more Dad! 1 Quote
Seaworthy81 Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Was trying to sight cast to some small peacocks and this 9-10" snakehead came out of nowhere and slammed the little kietech I was using. It's a 4" bait for size. Quote
ArthurLK11 Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 Here are some true micros from today, all golden topminnows. By the most widely accepted definition, a microfish is a species that does not reach a maximum size of 8 inches as an adult. These little topminnows are true beauties in miniature. Quote
ArthurLK11 Posted September 8, 2021 Author Posted September 8, 2021 A couple adult salvini cichlids from a South Florida canal this weekend. I caught a dozen or so in about an hour, but these three were the best looking. Quote
ArthurLK11 Posted October 12, 2021 Author Posted October 12, 2021 Just a couple from this weekend. Bluespotted sunfish, dollar sunfish, and golden silverside. 1 Quote
