whats every one fishing out of? and how do you like it? I just bought me a new Nitro Z-9 and totally love it. I sold my Blazer to buy my Z-9 I miss having a high 90MPH boat on the days where I run a long way.. but I wouldnt trade my Z-9 for anything it fishes better then anything Ive ever fished or owned before. like I said the only reason I miss the Blazer is because it was close to 20MPH faster and wow what a difference that makes when running a long ways in a tourny but once the trolling motor drops the Z-9 more then makes up for it. and its HELLA SEXY!

Are there any Bullet owners out there? I wanna talk to some body that owns one about a few things

I love my jon. I have it customized to fish exactly the way I want to. I have everything i need to Bass fish, the 8 hp 4 stroke lets me move around the lake. , 50 lb Tm lets me hold in place even in a 50 mph wind (been tested to 50 mph). When I hit an electric only lake, I can easily take the 8 hp off and fish it. I can push the trailer by hand with the boat on it. When the 8 hp 4 stroke is off, I can carry the boat with another guy and drop it in any pond or lake and it still got the electronics in it. Just extremely versatile and good for just about any lake, river, pond in this area.

That being said, I will probably sell it next spring and get a Tracker 175 so I can get all my little girls out there with me. If it was not for them, I would keep this jon forever.

I used to have a Nitro but 2 kids later and it's been sold. ;)  I'm now fishing out of a 96 Quantum fish and ski with a 120Force on it.  Decent boat, it floats so that's all that matters.

I've got a 12' plastic Coleman jon too.

I fish out of a Stratos.  You might want to add a few major brands to your poll:  Stratos, Champion, Basscat, and Skeeter are some that come immediately to mind.   ;)

I fish out of a Stratos 201 Evo.  Have owned a Stratos boat ever since I can remember.  They only get better each year.  Smooth in rough water, fast hull, etc.  Although I have riden in different brands, don't think I will ever own anything but a Stratos

I just bought the new Nitro X-4 with the 60 horse 4-stroke. Its great for me. Has tons of storage and a huge live well. It will do about 45mph. Not the best speed for running lakes in tournaments but it still makes a great boat.

I was thinking that same thing about the poll.  I run a Stratos285 and if I bought a new boat today it would be the 201 Evolution, that is one SWEET boat!!  TMorse----I'm jealous!!! :'(

I just bought an 89 Basscat Pantera II with a Johnson 140.  That things runs great and I love it.  Its a couple steps up from my old 12ft. ALUM with a 1954 Evenrude 6hp.

Fishing out of a '07 Skeeter ZX225 with Yamaha 225 HPDI right now. Before it I had a '02 Skeeter SX190 with Yamaha 150 carb'd and before that a '98 Tracker PT165 with Mercury 25. Unless something major goes wrong in the Skeeter manufacutring, I'll probably buy another Skeeter when I  decide to get another new boat. Love the fishability, ride, comfort, and the Yamaha power

I just got my first boat a few weeks ago! A 9' Pond Prowler. ;D It ain't no bass boat, but it's MINE and it floats! It's easy to transport, pretty darn stable, and I love it so far! The guy I bought it off of gave me 2 trolling motors, a 30lb and a 50lb, both Minnkota Enduras I believe.

Other than that, two of my buddies on the lake in my neighborhood have boats, a 15' Pelican canoe and a 14 or 15 ft john boat that I can use pretty much whenever I want. 8-)

Nitro 901.  The 9 series is where Nitro started a comeback from poor quality.  they got it right with the platform and fishability of the 9 series boats.  thing is like a freighter. and only 19ft.  fishes like a 20fter.  Kind of a slow turd though ;)

Yeah I agree with the Quality statement and the 9 series are SWEET I think the sexiest boat ever is a Nitro 959... Nitro arent fast but good god do they fish GREAT

Notice all the votes for the "Other" boats...how can you not include stratos and skeeter on a bass boat survey?

My buddy has a nitro 901 and it spends more time in the shop for warranty repairs than out on the lake...Nitros have big decks and look cool but thats about it...Just another BPS special as far as I'm concerned.

My boat is a Stratos 285pxl and the hull performance is awesome and reliability has been perfect...Had it 5 years now and the only thing ive ever replaced are the batteries...I'd like to move up to a 294pxl soon though.

I own a Ranger 185vs Intracoastal,  and a jon boat. Yet, I catch more and bigger bass out of the JON BOAT!  I can sneak in places my Ranger can't go.

My buddy has a Stratos 201 with the non skid deck and its really nice.  I would venture to say the fit and finish aren't as good Ranger, but overall value and hull design is great. Nevertheless, I think you missed too many quality boats that are not on your poll.  I think though Bass Cat is always winning the JD Power and Associates quality awards, with Triton and Ranger closely behind.  Nitro is ranked close to the bottom.

Started out with a 14' jon boat with a 9.9 merc then a 1985 16' Winner F/S with a 90 merc. Now I have a 1998 Ranger 461vs with a 175 merc. that I havn't had very long.

1998 Skeeter SS90 16'2" with a 90hp Yamaha 2-stroke.  Not the fastest or biggest boat on the Potomac River but gets the job done and my Chevy Equinox can tow it with no problems.

I put Popular brands on the poll that are the biggest in the south... I didnt add boat company's to the poll that arent real big around here. there are a few Skeeter around here but not a lot.. I put boats brands that there are A LOT of! thanks and enjoy your boats guys!

Also the statement about Nitro being rated close to the bottom, well years ago say 2002 and before I wouldnt own a Nitro for nothing... now days Nitro's are VERY high quality hulls and fish as good or better then anything out there (I have never fished a Champion or Stratos). The only thing I dont like about my Z-9 is it has to high of a draft and doesnt float in Shallow enough water forcing me to buy another ALUM bass boat to fish some areas that I fish.. Oh well nothing wrong with having both other then my wife being ticked. My Dad owns a Z21 21 foot 2008 Ranger and My Z-9 Rides better fishes better and is faster then the ranger and was about 7 grand less with the same engine and more less the same options. I paid 56,700 for my rig out the door my dad paid something around 60-64,000 for his rig... IMHO I got FAR more boat for cheaper... Other then the Draft problem I love my Z-9 I used to owner a Blazer and it fished GREAT but didnt have close to as big of a deck as the Z-9 and wasnt as stable and it could be a handful to drive at times but it had a really shallow draft and I loved that about it and it was 25MPH faster and at times I miss that but at times the blazer would scare the hell out of you.. it was a quality hull and If I had the money I would love to have my Blazer and the Z-9 lol...

I still need to speak to a Bullet owner I have some Questions about a 20 foot Bullet Merc 2.5 (280HP Offshore) boats running 103MPH with one person, no gear and half tank of fuel.. We can not get this boat setup to be fairly easy to drive it walks all over the place.. I have A LOT of EXP driving a 100MPH rig when I owned my Blazer and it drove pretty easy it just got hairy at times when it was over trimmed or the Jack plate was to high and what not.. more less it drove great unless there was some driver error.. We cant get the bullet to not walk even when its propped perfect and its balanced to a T.. and on totally flat water it feels like its skipping (Hull jumping out of the water totally off the pad) once it hits about 93MPH and wont stop till it hits about 97MPH that 4MPH is scary as hell.. please any help on this matter would be great... Its my Brother in laws boat.. he dont fish much just likes to ride but for the life of me and my dad (we have been around boats since I can remember) can NOT get this d**n thing setup.. On my Blazer once I got a good trim and jack plate setup I could take my hand off the wheel even at WOT and the boat tracked true and didnt walk hardly at all it took some time getting it setup but it responded well to different props and trim/jack adjustments. the Bullet just doesnt respond to anything other then Trim and one more thing it has Seastar steering on it and still the prop torque makes you keep a strong arm on the wheel or it pulls like crazy... no hull ive ever had or drove had more then a little torque feed back when running Sea star HYD steering.. his is crazy bad almost feels like cable steering and its been checked out and its perfect so its not a bad steering unit... please guys I know there are plenty of people on here thats drove very fast hulls and knows a thing or two about boat setup please help I dont want him to sell the boat because he and my sister really enjoy fast boats.. but this thing is just not drivable and very unsafe.. any one who has ever drove a 90+MPH rig knows anything mishandling at those speeds becomes very unsafe VERY fast lol well this boat mishandles from 80MPH and higher.
