Going to Oneida Lake this weekend and never have been. Any specific tackle I should bring. Normally I'm on Champlain or the St. Lawrence

I have only fished it a couple times with my brother, but I would say whatever you are using to fish Champlain and St. Lawrence would most likely catch fish at Oneida also.  Just watch the weather is all I can tell you cause Oneida will become a different animal in a second!

from my experience on the lake 2 years ago, we caught fish in June on a drop shot. We found big flats (between 12ft and 15ft) that had grass and rocks and the smallies would be there. Also morning topwater is really good there.
