I have upgraded my PB three times since I moved to TN.  I know they get bigger here so the quest will continue.  This was out of a private pond, not a bass managed pond just something on a guys property with a locked gate.  It was about the size of an average farm pond 8-10 acres...  bass caught off a tree using kvd sb 1.5

Congrats on the new PB.

Hard to guess from the picture. Fish is angled back slightly from the camera but looks tall and well filled out, probably in the 20-21 inch range, I'd guess 5.1 pounds.

I always try to take the eyeball size into account. Big fish have "bugeyes". You're not long-arming it. I'm guessing high 5 lb range. Pond fish can be older than their size indicates because there are seasons of limited food. A pond fish that reaches that size can eat whatever it wants, including other bass.

My guess is that if you really wanted to know the weight you would either carry a scale or take good pics of the length/width/girth using a tape measure or known object for reference. This could be a 4 to 6 pound fish and you won’t ever know for sure.

But regardless of weight this is a big, healthy, very beautiful fish!  I would love to catch her. Congratulations! ??

Congrats but "average sized farm pond"? I have never seen an 8 or 10 acre farm pond...maybe once but it was actually a flooded quarry.

Congrats. Hard to say accurately, but a guess is 4-5ish pounds.

Yeah, that’s a big farm pond in my book!

I Understood the post as he weighed it and just wants us to guess to see who is closest

Well I'm 6 foot 5 and 205.

Fish was 6 lbs 15.oz.  I did zero the scale and weigh it twice.  An upgraded from my previous 6lb 3 oz.

Angry John is an honest angler. Most guys would round that up to 7 lbs.

Jim Carrey Reaction GIF

It's a funny place to be stuck between appreciating a new pb an wishing for one more ounce.  Leaves me an easier window to improve on.  ;)
