A Havoc Pit Boss on an Owner Ultrahead Finesse Ball Head worked around brush piles, stumps and laydowns is about as close to cheating as you can get.  It was all I threw yesterday other than a frog and had an insane day.  I'll be a sad camper when I finally run out out of the Havoc's.  I will never understand why Berkley felt the need to do away with them.

Berkley discontinued their Havoc line, but the Pit Boss is still available.

Funny you should mention Pit Boss. When it was first introduced, I thought it looked laughable.

Yet, the Pit Boss has become one of my favorite trailers.        :Idontknow:

I totally agree, the Pit Boss has since become one of my favorite trailers.        :Idontknow:

Admittedly, I have not tried them but have not heard good things.  Luckily, PB's are one of those things that I have just absentmindedly bought through the years when they have been stupid cheap at wally world.  Unfortunately the color that has been slaying for me (Watermelon/Orange Fleck) is one I am running low on.  I will try the Powerbait ones when I run out and I hope the opinions I've heard are wrong

I really miss the Havoc line of baits. Such good baits at a great price

I like the Havoc pit boss, but as I run out of them, I'm finding that the Missile Baits D bomb works just as well and is the same price as the new pit boss.

I can't hardly get a bite on a D Bomb ?‍♂️

This is the next best thing I've found to a Pit Boss with the similar profile and action.

I've looked at those enough, I'm surprised I haven't pulled the trigger.  I need to

Finally was able to get the havocs going this year on the maple river.  I was using a craw fatty.  Are they going to keep the craw fatty in the regular Berkley line up?  If not I will have to fine a bigger craw than a chigger craw.

*It's now the Power Bait Pit Boss (with added power bait scent) at a higher price .
