Super User RoLo Posted August 5, 2020 Super User Posted August 5, 2020 Punching heavy vegetation rests chiefly on the lure, followed by the rod. I don't hold my reel responsible for punching, which is little more than an innocent bystander. Roger 1 Quote
Super User PhishLI Posted August 5, 2020 Super User Posted August 5, 2020 Daiwa put a metal handle/gear sideplate on it to reduce flex for heavier duty applications. Quote

zeth Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I bought two. One broke within an hour of use. I got it replaced with another. The other works flawlessly. I can tell 0 difference between punching or flipping the Elite Flip/Pitch vs flipping with my Quantum Smoke or Tour reels. Quote

And Ish Monroe has several videos showing him dragging some hawgs out of some gnarly junk with 65 lb braid. Along with the 100mm handle you'll be just fine. While I don't have this model just yet I do have the Elite Casting model and am always impressed every time I use it. Quote
