Jaybert Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I was hoping to try out some of the war eagle finesse spinnerbaits. I see a couple places online you can order them still. But I can’t find an actual war eagle website anymore. I see they where acquired by Pradco a few years back and I don’t see them on the Pradco site either. I could be missing it somewhere but is this brand a thing of the past ? I can still get some it appears if I want them. But was just curious once I looked into them a bit. Any other suggestions for small frame smallie spinnerbait with decent weight? I’m late to the party on Spinnerbaits, it’s never been a top tactic of mine. But looking to give it a fair chance and seems to be love out there for war eagle, at least in past years. Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted August 3, 2020 Super User Posted August 3, 2020 You might try the Strike King Lil' Mr. Money. 1/2 oz. total weight. I use them; they work. jj Quote

zell_pop1 Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 The 5/16ths size has enough wait to cast for distance and they flat out bite em. Blue Glimmer for clear water, white and chartreuse for dirty water. Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted August 5, 2020 Super User Posted August 5, 2020 I love the 3/16 ones, they weigh about 3/8oz overall so I can use them on a wide range of tackle and they seem to be the perfect goldilocks size to attract both big and smaller bass. They are somewhat fragile and a big bass or pickerel will put the hurting on them. Quote

Summer time when the bite gets tough these have been one of my go to baits for years now. I've caught plenty of bass, crappie, snakeheads, perch and catfish just on the Mouse & Spot Remover colors. 1 1 Quote
TriStateBassin106 Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 I Love those things, favorite color is sun perch. Probably the only spinnerbait I throw around here alongside some night time colorados. (Pond fisherman here) Quote
