bass crazy Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I am looking to buy an onboard battery charger. I have noticed on the forum that Dual Pro seems to be the way to go. My question is on the Rs 2 model for 2 banks ( battery with a 6 amp max charge each) cost is about half of the pro model. So has any body had experiance with the Rs 2 model ? Sugestions on other models / brands welcome. I am a recreational fishermen mostly, seldom fish 2 days or more in a row. But retired now and hope to go bass fishing more often especially this spring. Super User Jig Man Posted April 7, 2009 Super User Posted April 7, 2009 I wouldn't buy anything smaller than a charger with 10 amp banks. I had one for several years and was happy with it. I now have a 3 bank 15 am and like it even more. Quote
TommyBass Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Same here... I have the DP 3 bank 15 amp each and love it.... if you dont plan on very short times off the water I wouldnt worry about getting one that big. Someting more around 10 would be better though. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 7, 2009 Super User Posted April 7, 2009 I have the Dual Pro SS3 with 10A per bank. I didn't want the PS3 as it has a higher charge rate than what with is recommended for my group 27 batteries. Quote
