jtharris3 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 2 - 27lb. Bags today with a 7-13 Big Bass! Wow! You know things are going well when five pounders just jump in the boat! 2 Quote
BassNJake Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Since I didn't pick him on my fantasy team- Mueller will probably run away with this one. I have picked him in several tourneys where he smashes a huge bag and then fades away 1 Quote

RichF Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 This Chris's to win. Five pounders don't literally jump into your boat when it's NOT your time to win! hahaha 2 Quote

Five pounders don't literally jump into your boat when it's NOT your time to win! hahaha That was epic! I'm listening to him here on Friday, and it's interesting to listen to him strategize on his plans for the following days. He is burning the fish in the community hole and getting most of his weight, but super selective on how much pressure he is putting on his other spots. As I watch ...he is setting on 24lbs, so only 5's will do him any good ... you can burn a bunch of 4 and 4-1/2 pounders hunting for a 5 only to gain a few ounces total. Most of which he is appearing to save and be careful with, are on the big lake, but I doubt if he will let the wind keep him from going ...it can get awful bad out there ..... I came back into the river in 10 footers in 05', and can get fairly scary . should be interesting! 3 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 24, 2020 Global Moderator Posted July 24, 2020 The amount of monster bass in that area is ridiculous 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted July 26, 2020 Super User Posted July 26, 2020 Well if the wind doesn’t stop them on the last day looks like a good chance they will hit the magic 100 mark. Only a few times that the green bass have it hit that mark in a tournament. Very impressive. Brown bass rule. 1 Quote
BassNJake Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Wind is blowing- on the way up the wave all you see is sky, your next view is all water then as you come up you get soaked with all the water crashing over the deck. I dont like it when it blows that much on the big water 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted July 26, 2020 Global Moderator Posted July 26, 2020 Holy smokes that first pic is quite the shot. How some of these guys haven’t sunk their boat yet, or hurt themselves, or someone else is beyond me! 2 Quote
Ski213 Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Watching Johnston is making me seasick are home. It would be tough just to stay on the boat let alone fish. 1 Quote
jtharris3 Posted July 27, 2020 Author Posted July 27, 2020 Pretty wild final day with that wind! I was pulling for Chris Johnston. Glad he was able to pull out the win! 1 Quote
