Bandersnatch Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 I can't believe I can't find any card that has an electronic map for black lake that would work on my Humminbird helix 10s. I don't see any electronic maps for black lake, is that right ? It doesn't make sense Quote
Jleebesaw Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Navionics has it mapped out in 1' increments. Im not sure if you can use navionics with hummingbird or not. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted July 24, 2020 Super User Posted July 24, 2020 When I'm not physically on the water, my Lowrance Elite chartplotter sits right alongside my desktop computer (AC converter). On the Navionics+ "US/Canada" microSD, Black Lake is an HD lake (1-ft increments). If you have any bathymetric questions, just fire away. Roger Quote

Roger The blow image is what I find when looking on Navionics chart viewer, that doesn't look like 1-ft increments? Quote
Super User RoLo Posted July 24, 2020 Super User Posted July 24, 2020 Okay, you're referring to Navionic's free website, but I'm referring to the Navionics SD card. Looking at Navionic's website, I see the same image you posted; a lone 10-ft depth line. However, on the Navionics SD card, Black Lake is an HD chart plotted in 1-foot increments. I'm running a Lowrance chartplotter, so I can only assume that the Navionics "US & Canada" card is compatible with your Humminbird. Roger Quote
Jleebesaw Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Are you zooming in on it and it still looks like that? If i zoom way out like that, it looks just like your image. But the closer i get, the more detailed it becomes. If you are just looking at the free version to check it out before buying, it isnt a good representation. Black lake is mapped out very well on navionics. Quote

I didn't realize the navionics maps all changed based on the product you selected. I purchased a platinum plus ontario map because it had black lake and another Southern Ontario lake that I fish. Holy mowly expensive at $250! What's even better is that my ethernet linked helix 10s don't share mapping. Thanks Humminbird! Quote
