I was curious if any of have used this rod and what everybody thought about it it

Posted

I bought a Mojo Glass for chatterbaits a week before and I dont have time to check. I love glass rod for all reaction baits. In few days i tell you my opinion. Generall spooking, here in Spain lakes are deeper and whit less vegetation in water than in USA and use the chatterbait more for slow roll or burning than for ripping. In the last 2 years i fishing whit a Daiwa DX Type H-Glass (exclusive in Tacklewarehouse) but it is a composite rod and I am happy whit this rod, but for my, i love the flexibility when got I bite in glass rod. Sorry for my English!

Thanks guys, I learn english to read you in this great fórum!. I am doubts to Will buy a tatula elite 6.3 or curado DC 6.2 for this rod. Here the Tatula Elite it is around 190 usd to change and DC it is around 230usd, and for this difference in price i think Will buy for this rod a Tatula Elite. What do you think which is better for chatterbaits? It is Elite maybe for less weight lures? Thanks!

I am from Madrid, if any time one of your visit Spain, tell my and Will got to fish the Spanish largemouth

That would be sweet to come out there and catch Spanish large mouth but the elite is a nice reel it has a deeper spool then say the sv spools on the tatulas I’ve never used anything but daiwa for baitcasters I have the tatula elite on my rip n chatter rod now I just haven’t been able to use the combo I was thinking I might throw the 7.1:1 elite on it tho the reel looks real nice on the rod tho

Hi Beboson. I'm from England and have been to Spain many times to fish Cijara for largemouth. Missed out on my May trip this year of course. Do you fish there?

HI Tim. Yes Cijara it is only 2 hours to my home, and I go to fishing a few days every years. It is maybe now the most famous lake in Europe for largemouth, but in my opinion not the best. There are another lakes in south of Spain whit best results now in quantity and similar quality.

Today I check the rod a few shots, whitout bite, whit a chatterbait 1/2oz and the sensation it is correct. Next week I check in another lake more time, and I spend whit bites! Next weekend I update.

I'm cheating,  I'm actually getting Mike to build me a squarebill/trap rod... it will be composite but probably in the same kinda ball park as the RIP and chatter rod.  I'm super excited.

The zander seem to have upset the balance over the last few years and the bass and pike fishing have suffered. The zander numbers seem to be settling down now and the bleak shoals are returning, so hopefully the bass fishing will improve again.

I finally got the rod out today it’s different compared to my legend tournament sweeper spinner rod it doesn’t rock as hard but I landed two like 1lb and 2.5lb it’s a interesting hook set and I had to set hard but it’s a awesome rod I enjoyed until I caught my jackhammer on a under water downed tree

I check weeks after and i got 2 bites of two bullhead (catfish) one of them around 45-50lb and rod work perfectly. I dont miss any of two fish and vibration it is similar to compared to my another rod composite for chatterbaits. Good backbone for a glass rod and Good parabolic action in the first section of rod. Whit fish of 45-50lb after 35-40mn of fight, when got fish and check the jackhammer the snap it is open, and dont lost the jackhammer and fish. In my opinion Good rod for chatterbaits, only lack test whit Largemouth bites!

How do you like the Elite reel?

When I visit family in the Netherlands it seems like all the lakes have their own license requirements, and I want to catch some Zander and Pike sometime .

What are the license requirements in Spain to catch a bass?

Hi. Sorry for replying to an old thread but I am very interested in the rip n chatter rods. I mostly fish 3/8 bladed jigs and since the bottom lure weight is 1/2 I am unsure. Do you have issues casting 3/8 oz lures with it?
