Hello from northern Illinois. I have been bass fishing for about 6 years. I fish mostly out of kayak for green bass, but I also do good amount of river/creek wading for smallies. I have been lurking here for a good while so now I am hoping to contribute the limited knowledge I have.

Cheers

Hello Matt.  Welcome.  What part of IL are you from?  Where do you fish?  I'm a Braidwood, Lake Michigan, Cal Sag guy.  Used to wade the Kankakee a lot.

I live in northern crook county. Skokie lagoons, dpr and some lake county lakes is where I frequent the most with occasional kishwaukee trip in the mix. I almost never make it down your way, but someday I will.
