So I ordered the new Vanford 2500, hoping it’s going to balance nicely on this rod. For those who have this rod, what are you using for your reel and how is the balance? I’m thinking it may be a hair tip heavy with the 2500, yet it’s going to be super light regardless. To be honest, after a few hours of fishing I’m pretty dead no matter what I’m throwing. I do fish almost everyday, but my body ain’t what it used to be. Especially bank fishing with multiple rods, backpack, hiking thru brush and starting to look like fluke master lately doesn’t help ?. I have switched from cold beers to bourbon on the water though. Cheers!

I have the 7' med expride and had a stella fj c2500hgs on it. The reel weighs around 6.3 oz.

I believe the vanford 2500 weighs about the same. It balances fine with that reel weight. It didn't feel tip heavy at all.

I used mine primarily for soft stick baits like senkos. Good tip action and sensitivity.

That’s what I’m using it for light t-rigs, shakey heads, finesse. Yeah close enough in weight. They are making a 2000 size now that’s an oz less I think too. Wasn’t sure how the reel will sit. Watch a YouTube video and the guy suggested the FL for balance or Dawai. Thank you

My vanford should be on the way soon and I’m planning of the same setup as soon as that rod is back in stock. Hopefully this week.

I got the alert after it said it was going to be in stock. I was starting to look at other rods that day. I’ve patiently waited and researched. I can’t wait.
