Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass - Solo Launch & Recovery (video)

Took a few minutes before & after today’s adventure on Lake Menderchuck

to video the solo launch & recovery of the Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass boat. 

Sliding it on & off the ShorLand’r Trailer with the Ultimate Bunk Boards

and a little help from the Minn Kota Talons, is simple & safe.

Very smooth operation.  The only thing I would consider adding are Ezee-Steps to step down from the bow onto the trailer tongue safely.  I had some custom made for my PVB and they come in very handy (especially on windy days at the ramp).

I've been looking at the different types of 'steps' for a while.

They do seem very good.

 But so far, it's still 'just looking'.

Is the access normally that shallow there? You really gotta back in quite a ways to get that boat off the trailer. Also, since there’s no power loading, I bet that huge boat that launched next to you when you were loading up has a heck of a time. That’s a lot of work cranking such a big boat up by hand!

On average, yes.

Before I had the new bunks, by late summer, some lakes I could not launch at because I couldn't get my rig in water deep enough to get the boat off the trailer without drowning my truck.

Not a problem now as the boat 'slides' on & off easily. 

Clearly lake levels vary, dock position changes yearly, ramps silt in and get shallow.

I can often do better by not using the dock at all and going for the wet -foot sling shot launch.

(Hip boots very early & late season).

Only a couple of the places I like to frequent have anything close to a 'steep' ramp, with 'float it off the trailer' type depths.  So most of it looks like what's in the video.

Either way, I'm either pull the boat onto to the trailer by hand or going in 'clutch', like I did here. 

Not complaining though.
