Anyone have recommendations for BFS spools that will fit the OG Zillions/Fuegos and Alphas?

I've got a few OG Zillions, Fuegos, a couple of Alphas Itos and an old Alphas R+ I'd like to breathe some life back into by re-tuning them for more finesse applications.

Well, maybe not the R+ since that spool is already decent for BFS, but the others for sure.

Only got back into bass fishing recently after a near decade hiatus and man a lot has changed for sure.

The old setups hold some good memories though so I'd like to hold onto them and keep using them for as long as I can, even if I have to tune them up a bit to "keep up with the times" :D

Post on Tackletour.  Those guys would rather play with their reels than fish.  :lol1:

iabass8 is one of them.  :D

Try to get in touch with MountainMan83 and see if he has any spacers from 34mm to 36mm for your OG Zillions.  Then swap spools to your heart's content.  :teeth:

At one time I made two different size spacers...that I gave away...but I just don't have the time nor (at 72) inclination to stay late to set up a lathe (if open) and run off another batch of each.  The hour drive to get home afterwards doesn't help either.

Pretty sure tackle trap still has 36mm to 34mm spacers available. That would greatly increase the spool compatibility. Then you could get one of the super lightweight honeycomb spools. From the cheaper Ali spools all the way to super expensive KTF stuff.

I just did a spool swap with MountainMan83 yesterday and one of the things he offered was a set of 33mm to 31mm, so he at least has those.
