I think I bent the prop pin on my trolling motor. I tried taking the prop off the other day but the darn thing just won't come off. And yes, I did take the prop nut off before I tried removing the prop.  :(  Do any of you have any tricks you could share with me or do I just need to pull harder? I just want to make sure I don't damage the prop before I go pulling too hard. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Depending on how bent it is will determine if the slot in the prop is damaged.

The only way of removal is to pry it off.

I did two props last year and both were shot.

Thanks for the input George! I'll pry it off and see what happens. Luckily, I do carry a second prop so at least if the prop is shot, I'm not off the water! Thanks again!

more than likley   the slot in prop  where the pin fits  is ripped up some

if its not to bad i took some fiberglass and filled in and re made the slot  wont hold up for ever but can use prop as a back up
