I have one that I use on  my steelhead spoon rod- Amazingly Smooth and solid- more so than any reel i own. After using another reel then picking up the Morethan it just feels very refined and like a piece of fine machinery.   When casting I have had to look at the spool as you do not even feel line coming off.

It does seem a bit over braked compared to some others but the level of smooth is amazing.

Would I buy another? No- I bought it when they were fairly new and paid $421. The Bantam is not far off...

That older one?  That one is pretty big.  It is a higher end Zillion TWS.  The 19 Morethan is Steez based.  That is the one to get IMO.

So what is the morethan like it just started randomly popping up on google and really I was curious like what the heck is it like size quality like why haven’t I heard about when I was getting my streezs and zillion And tatulas it kinda just came out of know where i just really like it’s look but I’m seeing some of for more then the steez

Which one is it?  There is the old one and new one.  The old one is the size of the Zillion TWS and old Tatulas/Tatula 150.  These reels have been discontinued for years.  There is no such thing as a new Morethan PE SV 8:1.  There may be new old stock for sale but it is past the warranty period by years then it is a 2nd hand reel in new condition IMO and should be gotten for 2nd hand prices.  Not sure what the going rate is on these 2nd hand mint condition.

The new gen Morethan is a based off the Steez platform.  It's a prettier Steez A and the 8.6:1 comes in a marine grade bronze gain gear.  These were in the low $400 to high $300 range new before the pandemic.  Now they want bonkers money for them.  Lots of reels have suddenly hit insane money on Ebay recently and the Japanese sites aren't running the super sales they used to either.  I'm on a holding pattern trying to pick one of these up.  Don't need it but want one.

Top pic is the old one.  Bottom is the new one.

I’m not going to lie same here I just bought the st croix legend Xtreme 2020 h/f I paired it with the zillion tws hd 7:3 2019 but then IVe seen these And I’m like that would be so sweet looking on this rod so it’s more a want not a necessity but yeah It looks sweet I just know nothing about it or it performance and it’s not found in America like you said I have to get it from Japan

If you like the Zillion HD  then you will like the old Morethan.  Same size but the HD has a recessed mag dial and the old style Morethan does not.  I'm looking for a excellent condition used 7.3:1 Zillion HD to pair to a Megabass Huyga.  I'm a buyer if you are looking to sell yours.  I need something with a little more capacity than the Tatula SV that was on it.

No i haven’t even got to throw it yet it’s not even lined yet I just received the rod and reel in the mail today And they are both brand new I got the set up for frogging and punching and flipping/pitching I just seen the morethan and I was like that reel looks sweet and it looks like the rod

That is the new one right? That's a Steez A but nicer looking for $368?  Wow.  I'm in the market for a Catalina TW or Zillion HD right now so I can't justify picking one up just to sit on for the future.  I already have too many reels that I don't use.  I really like my Huyga 72H and need a higher cap reel for 65# braid for heavier frogs and big baits up to 3 oz.  Gotta get that one 1st and maybe sell off a reel I don't use.  $368 was pre zombie aids panic money.

Yeah it's the new one. I really want one for a Daiwa Rebellion rod, but I can't justify it either. I just bought a second Metanium and an SLX MGL to play with. Need to sit myself down and get it together. Morethan is super tempting though...

I also found the morethan pe for 368 on the bay. I need 2 reels right now and this one has been in my cart for over a day. trying to find a downside but can't.

How much of what line are you trying to get on there?  A Steez A stock spool holds 16lb - 45m / 20lb - 80m, which should be "a butt load" of even 65lb braid.

Also that dumb CF sticker kills the Morethan for me, it's so dumb looking.
