Esox pro Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I got these goby colored senkos that will get a ton of smallmouth in the islands and canal but they are usually in water past 10ft deep and since a jig is the best way to weight a wacky worm my question is how heavy of a jig for a wacky worm in the following depth 10ft plus 20ft plus 30ft 40 and the current of the st Lawrence Also what brand jigs Quote
Super User Scott F Posted July 14, 2020 Super User Posted July 14, 2020 This may be just me but, if you are going to use a weight for wacky rigging, save some money and use a Senko knockoff. The best part about Senkos is how well the sink without any added weight. If you put a weight on it, it will sink just like the cheaper copies. In answer to your question, you still want a slow fall. With weights, it's always best to use as little as you can. There is no one choice for all depths. Experiment for the conditions you face and how impatient you are about waiting for your lure to fall. Quote
