Over the last year I dove into bass fishing a lot more. New techniques, got a baitcaster, etc.. so I've been testing and trying a lot of things. Found brands and colors I like to use and techniques.

Here is my current everyday carry and my reserves. Note some of the packs, like the clam shells hold multiple colors, easier to carry more options without bleeding. Pretty basic, jig box, and terminal tackle. Load of soft plastics

Told her this was nothing so mind sharing some of your awesome "Reserves" or back up tackle

Same. I keep telling myself I am going to go through everything and organize it, seems like such a daunting task. LOL

I have more tackle and rods/reels than most tackle stores.

Some of the totes of plastics are so heavy, I can barely lift them.

I have a tall, 3 drawer Tupperware stand full of soft plastics. I recently ordered 4 bags of plastics with 100 soft baits per bag, 400 total, that I had to get some sealed Tupperware boxes from the dollar store to store them on a book shelf. Plus all the hooks, weights, line, etc.

I am not a tournament guy or anything like that. There are guys on here that literally have garages full of tackle.

Tell your wife your just starting :)

My plastics aren't that heavy, but I have them in 3-4 containers.  As far as rods/reels I am close to being in the same boat.  Which in my case is not necessarily a good place to be.  Haven't been getting out much the past 3 years so I lot has set unused.  :(  Probably have at least a half dozen baitcasting reels that haven't been out of the box yet.  :cry3:

Have enough terminal tackle that my car trunk is full when all are loaded.  Yup.  The OP is just getting started.  Just wait a few years and see what his wife has to say then.  :rofl_red:

I ran out of room in the garage so my office/den is the over flow. It’s getting full too.

I had a tackle store owner tell me the shortage was just starting for them.  Hence I went on another round of padding the already massive stockpile.  Ned heads, Strike King Rage baits, line...I WILL NOT run out of ANYTHING!

I probably have enough tackle to last me two or more lifetimes. My wife said my fishing shed looked like a tackle shop.

If I die anytime soon, my wife will probably end up donating it all to goodwill or something. Or maybe she post on Facebook market place for pennies on the dollar.

Not much. Have maybe 20 or 30 3500, 3600 , 3700 series box’s stored with extra everything but plastics which are in a couple other bins. My sling bag that goes with me is loaded with a 3700, 3600 and 3500. My wall exiting my workshop has a very small set up of my go too plastics picturedhere. E7BA7808-B4E3-4284-9403-0C76F38AE8D5.jpeg.ec34bab6de37a06f0bba6769721a9ab1.jpeg

That's a great start, 10 years down the road, it will be a lot more, because baits and gear will fall out of favor for new baits and gear lol. Don't throw out those baits that have fallen out of favor though, because what is old is new, and they will eventually be your go to baits again;)

I have one whole closet dedicated to my tackle.  It is getting close to over running said closet!  So believe me you don't have a problem yet!  Lol

You've been formally introduced to the Bait Monkey,

now there'll be a new reason for backing up the truck.

I need to lay it all out sometime. My tackle bag holds 3 boxes and I have 5. Plus a few MTB that I just use the box for storage and extras like line, cranks I dont use, plastics I'm not in the mood to throw.

I have way more than I need, but at the same time not enough.  I went fishing yesterday, and lost three of the only lure I could get the bass to bite.  Big problem was I only had three to loose.  I came home and told my wife I needed to order more because I had lost my lures.  She asked me If I had lost all my lures?  I told her I only lost what was working.  She asked why did I waste my money on lures that don't work?  She then asked why I don't just buy what works?  I  told her that is exactly  what I'm doing with my new order.

How do you rig the chew toy?  Are you swimming it or is more a bottom contact set up?

This sounds like my wife lol. To get in on the Dobyns deal, I had to sign off on buying other gear this year. Fast forward to vaca and war eagle spinnerbaits killed it, but I lost my stash. Got back found out they are pricey. Bait monkey found a loophole in the deal because I found a sale on those spinnerbaits and we now have 20 war eagles that will show up under a tree in December;)

There are multiple ways to address this thread.   The easiest way to explain it is, If I had a cocaine issue, all I'd have to show for it at the end of the day would be a runny nose.   With my fishing gear addiction, I have a 40 by 60 fishing shed to show for it.  There is enough room left for a lawn chair to sit in and an end table to set my beer on -  barely.
