Harold Scoggins Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 Between the Covid, couple of school chums passing on, and my older brother having a heart attack, (took a couple of stints, he's back fishing already) I was feeling down in the dumps past month and a half. Trips to the wildlife refuge wasn't having any affect in lifting my spirits either. Then, two weeks ago, I looked at my wife and said, "You can't take it with you when you go." I walked out the house, drove into town, and a couple of hours later I was driving home in 2020 Chevy Silverado RST Texas Edition 4WD. Although black paint is high maintenance, I feel 30 years younger driving down the road. Now, if I could just find out where these young kids are cruising their trucks. Super User BrianMDTX Posted July 11, 2020 Super User Posted July 11, 2020 Nice truck. So, besides the “Texas Edition” badging, is there anything different on the truck that makes it such? I know I see plenty of them down here in the Houston area. Quote
DanielG Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 I have a Ford myself but before that they were all Chevy's. Anyway, nothing like a new truck. You get a truck and you get to drive your living room. Wonderful for hauling a camper around the country. Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted July 11, 2020 Super User Posted July 11, 2020 There’s no question that Texans love their pickup trucks. In fact, Chevy has previously indicated that roughly one out of every six full-size pickups sold goes to the Lone Star State. When we decided to relocate here, my wife asked me if I was bringing the truck. I looked at her like she had two heads. I told her I’d fit right in. I’ve never seen so many pick-ups in my life. There’s one in basically every other driveway. The one thing that surprised me is the number of Rams. I see more of those than any other brand. But 99% of them don’t have that weathered “yeah, I drive in snow” look! Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted July 11, 2020 Super User Posted July 11, 2020 Sorry to hear about your brother and friends @Harold Scoggins. Congratulations on your new ride, nothing like stylish comfort to and from the lake. Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 That's a beautiful truck @Harold Scoggins. If you feel 30 years younger, it was definitely worth it. Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted July 12, 2020 Super User Posted July 12, 2020 I kinda want a new truck but not sure I wanna feel 30 years younger. Not sure how it would feel to be driving at 7 years old. Quote
