Super User king fisher Posted July 7, 2020 Super User Posted July 7, 2020 (edited) A friend talked me in to going off shore with him instead of bass fishing this past weekend. We left Puerto Vallarta at 3:00 AM Sat. Landed 24 tuna, all small between 30 and 90 pounds, ( two approximately 50 pounds from my kayak) two striped marlin, one blue marlin, ( around 300 pounds) and 5 wahoo. back to PV 10:00 PM Sunday. No big tuna, but a good trip over all. Lots of great fish to eat, as always released the bill fish. Back to chasing monster bass this weekend. Super User Dwight Hottle Posted July 7, 2020 Super User Posted July 7, 2020 Better be a monster bass or two after that saltwater episode. Quote
Super User king fisher Posted July 7, 2020 Author Super User Posted July 7, 2020 Just now, Dwight Hottle said: Better be a monster bass or two after that saltwater episode. My last trip 3 weeks ago to the small lake I'm fishing, I landed 2 bass in the 10 pound range ( no scale, one 25 1/4 inch, one 25 3/4 inch) and lost another one around the same size. That day easily tops the past saltwater trip. I'm hoping I have figured the lake out, and it just wasn't a lucky day. I will find out next chance I get. Quote

skekoam Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Wow, sounds like a blast. I've been salwater fishing twice recently going for calicos. I think I need to stick with the lakes. I'm just not cut out to deal with sea sickness. Quote
