Just wondering how everyone Tatula 100 reels are holding up? It was a hot topic and a hot reel for a while, but it's good to know how reels hold up after fishing with them.

I literally just ordered one in left hand 7.1:1 last night from bass pro and it’s my first Daiwa reel. I’m really excited about it too. I am tagging this thread so that I can update you in the next few days on my opinion.

I have a year on a 100 and 3 months on an Elite and both have been flawless.  I paid more for them obviously than my Lew’s LFS which were great for about a year and a half and started screeching despite regular lubrication.  Time will tell on the Tats but other models (SV TW) I have had have been bullet-proof.

I have a Tatula 100HS that I got back in 2015, which was pretty close to when the platform was first released.  It's been flawless.  It's lived it's life on my flipping/punching rod and I don't see myself changing it out anytime soon.

I am a pretty hardcore Shimano guy too...But I have 2 Tatula's, this one and an HLC model on my frog rod as my only non-Shimano's.  They are excellent reels IMO.  I could see myself migrating from Shimano to a Tatula lineup one day (not today though ;)).

To me, the Tatula 100 platform is the modern version of what the Curado B-series was for so many years - The solid, affordable workhorse reel that can do it all.

Two one hundreds and a 200, all working perfectly. Same for Lexa 300.

I've ordered an Tat SV, zero worries about its quality or performance. With another Tat 100 planned.

I have a Coastal SV (100) that is geary after about two months of use, and a Tat CT that is also about two months old that is so noisy and geary I really don't care to use it.  I do have another Coastal SV that is fairly quiet though. So there's that.

I have 3 100s, 1 150, and 1 200, 2 SVs, 1 Lexa 300, 1 Coastal SV, and 5 Fuego CTs all work fantastic and have had zero issues.  Daiwa reels are good bang for the buck in my opinion.

Nice.  If you aren't careful you will be catching up to me in Daiwa numbers.    Of course mine are mainly older reels although I just got a Coastal SV.

Are your 100’s the current version with the red spacers on either side of the thumb bar?

Yep.  I also have a 60th Anniversary 100.

I’ve had my tatula 100H for almost a year now, and it’s holding up great. I would definitely recommend the reel to someone.

My old Tatula Type R 8:1 has held up well. It is a little noisy but nothing too bad and is still smooth.  My Tatula CT SV 8:1 is very noisy but is mostly smooth once mounted to a rod.

What about a Tatula 100?

Mine is working fine, have about a year on mine. Have been pitching in some heavy cover with mine.

I've owned Tatulas for 7 or 8 years, assorted models and price ranges.  I currently have 15 of them;  never had a problem with a single one.

I have 2 of the newer model 100's, 1 I use for frogging and 1 I use for jerkbaits, no problems or complaints with either one.

Everything in the new 100 platform is spotty with grease. Take the 10 minutes and put some in the gears and you'll be happy. It is BS that they ship that way, but /shrug.

Other than that they've been great.

I have one of the newer version of the 100s and one of the previous generation. I like the previous generation better even if it is a little bigger and uglier. Both have held up very well so far.

All of my Tatula's are 2019 models. All were, and still are smooth as butter from the factory.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago and use it for buzzbaits.  Probably caught 20 bass and a few mudfish.  The only problem I've had was hitting a tree about 10' from me.  Had to cut the line off.

Well I paired it up with a 6’9” MHF Abu Garcia Vengeance rod because it was literally the only remote rod that was available and near what I wanted. So far, the reel is awesome!
