Want to try these worms. Can you tell me the difference in color between Moccasin and Crawdad? They look very similar to me.

not sure about the moccasin but the craw dad is brown with a gold underside. i like it for dirtier water.

I've never used their stuff and I don't know why because some of it looks really good (especially for the price). Their version of tilapia is a really nice color.

I typically Texas rig my YUM Ribbontails with ¼ lead and a 4/0 offset round bend.  I'll go down to ⅛ if I'm wanting to stay on top of grass but that typically means I'm on a medium powered rod.  I have also fished them deep with a ½.

 

I like to fish Ol' Monsters on a heavy Texas rig, ¼-½ and with a 5/0 offset round bend.  I normally string those up on a heavy rod.  I also like to Carolina rig them with a ⅜-1oz with the same hooks.

 

I've been wanting to try them out on shaky heads, I just haven't gotten around to it.

*I agree with your set ups - the only thing I would add is that for YUM 7" ribbon tails they get a 3/0 offset round bend hook and usually a 1/8th oz. to 3/16th oz. bullet weight. For the YUM 10" ribbon tails I step up hook and weight size .

*June Bug , Red Bug , Plum , Blue Fleck , Red Shad , Watermelon Red  and Green Pumpkin all work in the summer months (depending on water / sky conditions). Green Pumpkin and June Bug are staples and some sort of red color worm does particularly well in the summer months thus Red Bug sees heavy action for me down south .

Berkley 10" ribbon tail black w/blue flake has caught more tournament bass at night out west then all other lures combined. It just works!

The early ribbon tails were more of a longer gator tail and too wide causing the worms to spin. Bass Assassin came out with the thinner longer ribbon tails and became instantly popular followed by Culprit and others including Berkely.

I am not a fan of ribbon tails preferring straight tails and curl tails, except at night.

Texas Rig, 2/0 Round Bend, 1/4 Tungsten...90% of the time this summer.

I also like berkely 10". I like the coloe called blue fleck. Its just blue with blue flake. And recently ive caught bunches on motor oil with red flake.
