I don't own any baitcast reels with round knob handles.

How do they compare to feel and grip of flatter handles that are mostly on baitcast reels?

Also, which is better, EVA or Winn round handles? Does one or the other have a better feel and grip? And is one more durable than the other?

I'm looking to upgrading a Tatula 200 left hand with round handles but not sure if making the upgrade would be worth the extra money.

Bait casting reels had round handle knobs for decades, flat are a improvement IMO.

I far prefer the flat style grips myself...feel more secure and natural in my hand. The only reels I have with round knobs are my old Garcia round reels that I use for catfishing. And they work fine of course but I prefer the other.

I'll use any knobs as long as they're flat. Those round ones are just flat out uncomfortable

110% personal preference. I’m not all that fussy about grips where as others are driven to distraction by the wrong ones.

I like the Winn grip round handles better than the EVA. Lew’s makes them in 2 sizes. I prefer the smaller size on my Mach 2 reel over the oversized ones on my Mach Crush.

I have round grips on one of my reels, not a problem, but the flat grips are more comfy for me to use.

The "flat" knobs tend to mold/fit better to the contours of your fingers when pinched between them which makes them more ergonomic in my opinion
