Triton21 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I was giving my boat a spring cleaning getting ready to go to Ky Lake on Road trip. My wife came out to see how I was coming along. While she was there she said "I smell gas". There was strong odor of gasoline in the rod locker and the big locker on the other side of the boat. Checked all the hose and connections from the bulkhead in the battery compartment to the motor and all were dry. Got on the Internet and did some searching and was guided to a couple of forums where some other Triton owners were having the same problem. A couple of them found loose clamps on the Filler Tube. A couple of other guys took them to a shop and were told to just ignore it I found two hose clamps loose on the outlet fitting on the gas tank. Top of tank and around fitting and hose were wet with gasoline. Tightened those clamps and now after a couple days no gas odors. Open those compartments on your boat and ck for fumes. Kelley Quote
