buzzcatcher Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Maybe someone here knows what is causing this. I have a Raymarine DS 400 and the transducer that came with it which has speed and temp sensors. About 70% of the time I here the transducer clicking the other 30% it is silent. So is it going bad? David Quote
HPBB Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 its fine. most of the time you can't hear them tick, but sometimes you can when you listen closely. It is fin, just doing what they all do Quote
DawsonH Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Hear it all the time when things get quiet. Its means its working properly, sending out sound waves to help you find stuff Quote
Triton21 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Better throw it in the water, It's a 'TIME BOMB'. Quote
XcoM274 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Turn it on when the boat isn't in the water and stick your ear up to the transducer. You'll be able to hear it pulsing. Quote
kbkindle Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 like the man says put your ear on the transducer you can hear it click and feel it click Quote
