I'm really amazed how well the Berkley Powerbait Minnows work. Over the past couple weeks I've caught fish as small as 5" largemouth and as big as this 11.15 lb. freshwater drum (sheepshead) which was caught on a light rod with 10# braid and a 6# leader. I use the 3" Minnow, cut it down to about 2-1/2" and fish it on a 1/16 oz jig head. Cast it out and slowly reel it back with little shakes and an occasional pop. It's an almost perfect match for the minnows in the area and has worked really well for me!

To this day the 2.5 inch Gulp Minnows in black shad with a 1/16oz jig are the best multi-species fish catcher of any bait Ive ever used. One day I was catching a crappie on them every cast, I ran out of them and switched to a small crappie tube jig and then I would only catch one once every 10 casts or so.

A 3" Gulp or power minnow on a 1/16 or 1/8oz jighead was my Ned rig before I knew what a Ned rig was.
