Davis Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Wacky all the way if the conditions permit it. Texposed if I have some weed beds that I want to fish. I'm not a fan of the trigged. Have not caught one bass that way. Only a bunch of bites. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I quit fishing the 5" baits several years ago, they simply catch too many fish. "Wacky" is a small bass technique, I don't ever want to catch a 3 lb bass again. Good one ;D My "small" RI bass from wacky rigged trick sticks this year include 6.6 6.3 6.1 5.9 5.8 5.1 and lets not forget Dirks 7.1 This is RI, our record is 10.6 If these are small, so are yamamotos prices Quote
rp_carr Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 80% of the time weightless texas rigged. To be honest this is mostly because this is the rig I am most used to using on platics and I have confidence in it. Trying to explore with other rigs for plastics, especailly wacky rigging and "shakey head" jigs. Its funny I'll spend hours researching a new rigging technique but then when I'm actually on the water I'll go back to an older technique I trust. Its hard for me to built trust in a new lure/presentation. Quote
kms399 Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 t-rigged untill it starts sliding down the hook or gets torn up then I will wacky rig untill I loose it. I fish around alot of weeds mostly milfoil so the wacky can be kind of annoying at times. Quote
