When TW had these on sale during the 25 days sale, I bought a couple in each size along with the Jackall Rerange which was also on sale, and a couple of Provokes not on sale. The Provokes and the Reranges worked great. The Flits got a lot of suggestions on here when people asked about what jerkbaits to get.

The Flit both ran to the right when jerked and when I tried to reel them back to the boat to recast, both a 100 and 120. Very disappointed with them and feel like i got ripped off! Did Ima dump a bunch of seconds for the sale, or is this just how they are? I didn't try the others because I already wasted enough time with the first two. What am I missing here?

If I were you I would contact the manufacturer.

Awesome thanks, I didn't think it was normal, but knowing jerkbaits are a totally different beast I wanted to check. Thought maybe the crazy odd action was by design.

I was thinking and thought of something else - are you using a split ring or snap on the bait?  If so, try it without, if you are not, try adding one.  I have a few flits and I run mine with a snap and they run true but don't walk the dog anywhere near what a vision or pointer does.

I always have run with a small snap, next time I can try without. The others were so easy it was just frustrating.

it was really windy all week, if they are more sensitive I could use them in calmer water. I have a 16 ft aluminum boat with an 80 lb trolling motor and needed 30 to 50 percent power to move into the wind. Boat control was a blast lol. So if heavy waves and retrieving at an angle to them could throw it off that could be a factor too. The provoke did something funky too once in a great while, maybe I was just pushing the limit of when jerks can be fished, especially finesse jerks.

Is the line tie bent?

Good call. I quick unpacked them and found that the line tIes appear to be off center and angled in the way they were trying to run. It felt like they were trying to roll over on their right side. Would you agree?

I appreciate the help figuring this out. Would hate to contact a manufacturer if there really isn’t an issue with the baits. Their website on my laptop came up as unsecure so I will try FB to potentially contact them. Or I could just write them off or try to tune them.

The right one looks very off-center, left one looks like it could be as well. I'd try tweaking them back the opposite direction they're running and see if you can tune them back to center.

Looked through all 5 and the 2 in the picture I think are good. The single one is a third that is off. I will contact Ima through FB, but ultimately tune them. Just curious what they say about it. I hate tuning baits out of the box so I may be 5 and done wit( the brand.

I haven't had to tune the IMA Flits (the one I have it pretty true running), but I do have to tune crankbaits quite often.  I'm not that good at it, and both a tool I keep on my PFD with my hook sharpener.  It's called a Tune-a-fish, and it makes it a lot easier to make those fine adjustments to the line tie that are hard with the needle nose pliers.  https://www.fishusa.com/Reef-Runner-Tune-A-Fish-Crank-Bait-Tuner

I have something similar and am terrible at tuning baits. I tend to go too far the other way and worry I weaken the line tie with how many times I have to adjust it.
