If the changed the regular Tatula casting rods to the cork spit grips.... I bet they'd sell like hot cakes (not that they aren't already a great rod).

I own 3 Tatula rods. If they had split grips I'd own 0.

I mean, I'm right there with you. I like them.

But the majority of my fishing buddies are into split grips. So I'm just speaking to what I observe to be the "popular" vote.

I have a Tatula with a split-grip.... not the cork version though...

Now I am confused, the new Tatula CT looks near identical to the Tatula 100, what am I missing?

Has the lesser magforce system. Assuming it's the replacement for the Fuego...which sucks. If it's more than like $79.99 then they really dropped the ball.

Oh wait isn’t the CT supposed to be a smaller version?  So this one will be bigger then the Tat 100?

That Tatula CT was smaller than the Original Tatula back in 2016. But it's larger than a Tat 100.

"This" one (2020) is the exact same frame, size, etc..  as the Tatula CT that's been around since 2016. Looks like they repainted it, added the tiny knobs, and stuck a fixed inductor spool in it.

Unless there's something we are missing, I'd buy the "old" Tatula CT over the "new" version for sure.

How about Daiwa release a non T Wing reel in the $120+ category. I like the Fuego CT but how about something a little more hi end .

Released in US?

Released one to my doorstep in 4 days.

US version would just be $100 more and probably have worse knobs.

People are still going to want the Lexa because of the TWing system. A lot of swimbaiters like braid to leader...

Why? The leader doesn't need to go onto the reel.

I am just quoting the comments I see all the time.  I never have a problem and run braid to leader and a good majority of my reels are t-wings.

In the video for the 300 he claims that the line guide section of the T-wing is wider than usual.

10:10 mark is where he talks about the wider line guide section of the T-wing.

The 2020 Tatula CT does have Magforce Z.  They changed it on their site after we all complained about it.  What a major screw up.

https://daiwaproductshowcase.com/products/tatula-ct

It's still just a Tatula CT from 2016 with the new thin knobs.

Don't forget the blueish accents ?

MagZ makes it a little easier to swallow, but it's still disappointing that they just rehashed the same old reel.
