Favorite T-Rig Worm Hook ?

For T-Rigging  straight tail  worms and larger ribbon tails - what is your preferred worm hook you are using with #12 lb. to #15 lb. FC or Co-Poly line ?

I use 4/0 for most soft plastics, including straight tail worms, flukes, senkos.

I have all kinds of hooks and dont know what half of them are .Gammys , VMC and others just thrown in a slot in my terminal tackle box . I do like offset round bends and only use EWG's on fat  lures that require them .

I went to a 2/0 round bend offset for all plastics and it seems to work pretty good.

3/0 or 4/0 ?

3 or 4/0 offset round bend worm hooks. I almost exclusively use Eagle Claw Laser Sharp hooks because they are plenty sharp at a good price. 

 

If I'm throwing Flukes or craws I go to the same but in EWG. May bump up to 5/0 if I'm fishing a fluke and want it to sink faster.

 what ever 4/0 off set hook from a reputable hook mfg.  if eagle claw lazer sharps wouldn’t rust just by looking at them I would use those exclusively.  I try to buy American when I can but, I can’t get my self to buy those regardless of the price due to that issue.  Trokar is out of my budget untill I start tournament fishing. Unless of course they are on sale. Some where

Off set round bend. I like 1/0 and 2/0 for some stuff on 6 and 8 lb line but 4/0 and 5/0 for thicker line

There are more 4/0's and 5/0's than I expected. What's some of the pros and cons here? I bought bulk 2/0 and really like them and will probably stay with it when I run out but I mostly throw 7inch ribbontails or lizards. Good topic..

It’s a very good topic. I used to use 1/0 offset worm hooks, but was not really catching bass over 1-2 lbs. I switched to Gamma 3/0 EWG hooks when I started catching bigger bass and I lost a few nice bass throwing the hook. Unfortunately it’s impossible to be 100% sure why. It could be my MF rod was/is not up to the task, I am simply not setting the hook hard enough, or the non-offset hook does not get the same “bite” that offset hooks do. 
 

So I’m switching to a MHF rod for more power when setting the hook and will stick (for now) with EWG hooks. I like the way the hook lines up in the bait (especially fishing in ponds with a lot of algae) compared to offset hooks.  But if I still seem to lose bass, I will go back to a 3/0 or 4/0 offset. 
 

I'm hoping it’s the rod lol.
