DevinH Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 I’ve always been interested in making my own lures. I fell in love with jigs and want to make my own. I know where to get skirts (fishingskirts.com). I’d like to get some flipping, football, casting, and maybe a few swim jig heads. I can’t find where to purchase any jig heads at all. Any suggestions? Quote
Super User Teal Posted June 21, 2020 Super User Posted June 21, 2020 Lots of options out there. Boss jig - alot fishingskirts.com has them, Tw- has them Jan's net craft should have them SIEBERT OUTDOORS- BEST OUT THERE @Siebert Outdoors. Check out Mike's site and consider getting them from him. Super User WRB Posted June 21, 2020 Super User Posted June 21, 2020 Barlows Tackle also sells jig making supplies, Do-It molds, Lee lead pots, silicone a living rubber skirt tabs, Jig hooks and paint, jig vices etc. plain football and Hula grub jigs GYCB (Yamamoto) is a good source and uses Owner and Gamakatsu jig hooks. Siebert Outdoors is a site sponsor, see side bar at the right side of this page. Tom 1 Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted June 21, 2020 Super User Posted June 21, 2020 I use boss and gamakatsu heads. I hand tie a mean little smallmouth football jig on the Gamakatsu #24 head. My best buddy whips my butt with them in fall tournaments all the time LMAO. 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted June 21, 2020 Super User Posted June 21, 2020 BOSS stuff from fishingskirts.com and tackle warehouse and jigheads from siebert outdoors are what I always use. Been building my own skirts for a while now and I really enjoy it 2 Quote
Bass Junke Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Been wire tying my own skirts on for a few years. Buy skirts from skirts unlimited and Boss jig heads both from Tackle Warehouse. Recently purchased some Siebert's jig heads after hearing so many people say they are the best. The best part about Siebert's is that they will wire tie the skirts for you. The jig heads are awesome though. Better than the Boss jigs? Yes. The hooks are better, weed guards seem similar. Both companies seem like they have a couple of different fiber weed guards, some are stiffer than others depending which head they are on. Where Siebert's really shines is in the finish. It seems like a better finish, won't really know till I start dragging one around on the bottom of the pond and compare. As far as head colors go Sieberts's has a ridiculous amount of colors to choose from, Boss has like 4. The only thing Boss has is some funky shaped heads. Nothing wrong with Boss heads, caught a bunch of fish on em'. The Siebert's ones are just a little better. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted June 23, 2020 Super User Posted June 23, 2020 Most places have been mentioned already but if you need them in bulk try Cast Industries. Allen 1 Quote

Nibbles Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 I get mine from Keitech. I like to get a bunch of their 3/32 and 1/8 tungsten ball head jigs without the weedguard and hand-tie skirts on them. Mix of #3 and #2 hooks if I want a sickle hook, or #1 & 1/0 if I want a standard one and want to use a slightly larger trailer. Don't seem to have an issue with hooksets despite the smaller hooks.
