Wow is all I could say when I unboxed the rod.  Megabass Addermine.  It weighs next to nothing.  Not sure how Ill be able to use anything other than Megabass rods now.  I am beyond impressed.  Cant wait to fish it and once I do Im sure Ill need more.

I made the mistake of buying one.   Today I had seven MegaBass rods on my kayak with me.

Love my megabass rods but the hook keepers stink!!!

I'd prefer none of my rods had hook keepers. Daiwa has been especially bad at locating them lately.

Megabass rods are just the tip of the iceberg. Their bait selection is incredibly unique.

I tried looking on their website but keep getting a msg that it may be a site impersonating Megabass. Anyone else get that?

Dude please stoppppp. ? I've been eyeballing them for a while.. I'm getting anxious on a stupid high level.    They ha e good selection and even better if you look at the jdm models.... I'm getting ready to get my toes wet.soon.... and I'm liking to get a few at once.

Bought a flatside special first, recently bought the perfect pitch. Really nice rods.

Tour versatile is a good option also.   Great for treble hook lures but can work for jigs.

Spend some time on the Tackle Tour forums and read up.  Ask questions and create topics if you need to.  Tons of into over there on those sticks.  Both a retailer of the rods and a Megabass tester are active members over there.

Thanks man... appreciate it.. seen a bunch of the Japanese stuff on the hook up, but havent heard of ot...  been diving deep in the rabbit hole looking .... and it is wild... I plan on keeping it simple...but I'll def go to tackletour and read what guys have to say about the different rods

I don’t even really like spinning rods much over 6’, but that Addermine is good enough for me to suck it up and learn how to cast one two-handed.  It’s really something special.

I was always skeptical and thought the name “megabass” was silly. Took the plunge when the US destroyers came out and haven’t looked back. With the exception of a kistler, a custom and a couple major crafts and st croix my lineup has migrated to megabass. I did sell off a couple that didn’t work out though

US destroyer fmj and addermine

Destroyer TS Blackjack

P5 Destroyer dark sleeper and super destroyer

Older destroyer cyclone

Destroyer X7 super eiger

2nd gen xx whipsnake

1st gen xx Diablo spec r, perfect pitch, emtf, and flipping special

Japan destroyer bandersnatch

That TS makes the rest of them look so tiny.  Nice arsenal man.

Megabass sure does know how to make an excellent rod... and reels, lures, etc.

they seem to be the gateway into JDM stuff.

I was all Megabass (US and JDM Destroyer, Orochi, X7, and maybe 1 or 2 more) but moved on to other stuff. Their rods are some of the best put together on the market. As someone else mentioned - I looked at my NRX and thought “what the ? Couldn’t the wraps at least be straight ?”. LOL. Different company priorities I guess.

it’s a fun rabbit hole, enjoy!

How are you liking the p5s? Are they way better than the US destroyers? I was being told by the dealers that they were but I kind of found it hard to believe.

I've only been able to fish the Dark Sleeper so far, and haven't tangled with anything over 2# yet, so the jury is still out. I will say it is quite sensitive, crisp, and responsive thus far, very light and comfortable to fish.

Does anyone happen to know if they still make the Destroyer TS 775 for Spinning? I'd like to get one but can't find them hardly anywhere.

Thanks!

I have been seriously considering dropping some money on a more expensive rod for T-Rigs and jigs (lures I have tied on almost all the time) - outside of cover one of these days, and the Megabass rods are on on the list.
