Super User dodgeguy Posted June 19, 2020 Super User Posted June 19, 2020 I just bought a bunch of these from a yard sale near me. They get great reviews on bass pro shops. Guys seem to fish them all different ways from weightless to football jigs. So let's hear from the guys who use this bait. How do you like it ? How do you rig it? Thanks in advance !!! Quote
Smells like fish Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Who goes to a yard sale and finds "a bunch" of Yamamoto stuff? They was probably priced dirt cheap too. You're winning! Quote

THE_Vue's Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Can use a tungsten or cheap egg sinker. Acts like a jika or Tokyo rig but slides easier than your traditional bullet sinker. That’s why the Mango rig is so effective and you can fish in light to moderate cover. Quote

Super User WRB Posted June 20, 2020 Super User Posted June 20, 2020 Jig trailer, T-rigged with sliding bullet and C-rigged. Tom Quote
Djohn Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Great bait. I fish it t-rigged with the weight pegged. Quote
river-rat Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 I use it for flipping/pitching on a texas rig with a 1/4 - 3/8 oz. slip sinker. I've found it to be effective as an alternative to a flipping tube. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 20, 2020 Super User Posted November 20, 2020 Fish it like a jig and as a jerkbait. T-rigged, 1/4 oz bullet weight, Texposed Quote
Super User Spankey Posted November 20, 2020 Super User Posted November 20, 2020 I rig them weed less and try to punch them into grass and Lilly pads, I lite t-rig them weedless on a sliding bullet weight, sometimes just peg the weight, or just use them on a 1/16, 1/8 or1/16 oz. jig head. A lot of good creature baits out there. Quote
OnthePotomac Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I am like others: Texas rigged with a 3/16 slip sinker either pegged or unpegged depending on where it is going. Quote
