American Bass Club Association Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 If you are in or have been in a Bass Club..I am asking for your feed back-- I am doing research on forming a “ National” Bass Club Association. Our purpose is to support Bass Clubs across America , and align with the retailers who sell Bass fishing products. Provide venue in which clubs across America can meet like minded anglers, buy & sell fish gear to qualified anglers, get answers, ideas, support, and share their love and passion for Bass fishing. Promote fellowship, sportsmanship and ethical fishing practices in fishing with a special emphasis on supporting Bass clubs merchandise discounts and sharing informations-networking. The Association would also offer to all Clubs a Website Template that clubs can easily populate Tournament Schedules, Random Tournament Pairings App, Tournament Results, Club Standing, and other Club information. (Many clubs do not have websites or have challenges maintaining year over year) Listed below is a rundown of some benefits to members and ask if you would give your feedback and input- especially on what do Fishing Clubs need??Maybe something I missed. (And can The American Bass Club Association fill or satisfy these needs.) CLUB MEMBERS -BassClubs -College Teams -High School Clubs MEMBER MERCHANDISE DISCOUNT PROGRAM M2MM- MEMBERS to MEMBERS MARKET PLACE MANUFACTURERS REBATES & MEMBERS ONLY OFFERS FISH ABROAD PROGRAM -( Or at least in other parts of USA) CLUB WEBSITE TEMPLATE WHAT’S NEW DISCUSSION FORUM Quote
BigFred Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 As the president of a regional bass club association, I can tell you that one of the biggest issues bass clubs ask about is liability insurance. They're usually looking for a reasonable premium with not too many restrictions on how they go about holding their tournaments & meetings. A national organization may be able to get them the low rates they're looking for. Another thing they'd wonder about is the cost (if any) of belonging to this new association. If it's something that has sponsors who cover any overhead, that's great. If a club or individual member dues payment is expected, some may be reluctant to get involved, unless they see it being worth the expense. [I did receive your email regarding this subject. Haven't had a chance to jot down all of my thoughts or set up a time for discussion.] ...Fred Lentz Quote
