unconventional baits/lures

i never do it, but ive always for the fun of it wanted to try some swedish fish and gummiworms as bait, and i even entertained throwing on a twizzler pull and peel for a stick bait.

weve all seen lures made out of bottle caps and what have you, have you ever had luck on anything that wasnt manufactured specifically to be a lure or bait?

if so, what was it?

You are too late on the Gummy Worms...

They are well known in some areas to catch bass rigged like a plastic worm.

im not surprised, they have some decent colors, especially the sour worms

Some time I want to try a twizzlers pull n peel (not the regular 1 piece) as a spinnerbait skirt. They have always reminded my of big game trolling lures when stripped halfway.

As for the topic, here is a fun one from a few weeks ago. I think the wierdest "lure" was a pike on a green condom.

Well, with gummy worms you are a "environmentaly friendly" angler cuz they are biodegradable, and you save some money too, instead of purchasing those expensive biodegradable worms like Ecogear, Megabass and Gulp. With the same ammount of money you purchase a big bag of gummy worms.

Not just biodegradable, but safe for the fish to eat too. Regular plastics will eventually pass through a fish's system, but take up stomach room until this happens. With the gummi worms they at least get something out of it...
