Bandersnatch Posted May 4, 2021 Author Posted May 4, 2021 Conquest grips, torzite bottom guides and recoils are back. I heard something about the blank having a wrap similar to the adrena. 1 Quote
JohnFromLisbon Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Oh yeah, that's the stuff. They look exactly like the fly models. 1 Quote
Dumbbassanglr Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Are the casting models full cork? I’m going crazy. Quote

I thik the new ones will have Torzite guides, full grip (and hence be a bit heavier), but will also be probably in the price range of the Conquest. Since I dont think you can get more sensitive than a 893c, I just pulled the trigger (with a 20% discount). This guy said he got a 893 with a discount Quote
Johnbt Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 There are places that would order you a 783C, 843C, 843S & 844C if you called around enough to find them and asked nicely and the discount was right at 21.52%. Or maybe I was just lucky. And you had to promise not to tell anybody about them. I find Conquests to be quite beautiful in their function and simplicity. They don't need a bright paint job and shiny bits that say, "Hey, look over here." 1 Quote

Super User NorcalBassin Posted May 8, 2021 Super User Posted May 8, 2021 You can get these (and nearly everything else) for 20-30% off many times throughout the year from certain retailers not named Tackle Warehouse (only black Friday for them). 1 Quote
JohnFromLisbon Posted May 9, 2021 Posted May 9, 2021 (edited) I'm watching a live stream from the Hook Up Tackle, Ben just said that all the details on the new NRX+ rods will go live at midnight tonight. Stores will have them available for preorder, expected to be in stock by June. P.S.: Shimano Europe just posted this livestream that will go live 5:30PM my time - 12:30PM Eastern. So far, nothing on Shimano North America's channel Edited May 10, 2021 by JohnFromLisbon Update 1 Quote
evo2s197 Posted May 9, 2021 Posted May 9, 2021 Disappointed that the picture posted still has that NRX sloppy wrapping. Probably still buy one though get it stripped down and built properly. Quote
