JediAmoeba Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 https://www.thehookuptackle.com/fishing-Japan+Tackle/Roman+Made/Mother+Chaser You may want to call your bank in advance to let them know you will have a huge amount going towards tackle. Also, at 22oz, you may need a new setup. Lol Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted June 11, 2020 Super User Posted June 11, 2020 What are you going to go for with that thing? Great Whites? 1 Quote
Super User Teal Posted June 11, 2020 Super User Posted June 11, 2020 Dang that's the size of fish I catch 2 Quote
Smells like fish Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Even the bait monkey is bewildered. Cue the lure gorilla. 2 7 Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted June 11, 2020 Super User Posted June 11, 2020 I am sure some people will buy them and put it in a lure collection they have. 2 Quote
JediAmoeba Posted June 11, 2020 Author Posted June 11, 2020 I watched a video on this bait and it swims terribly. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 11, 2020 Global Moderator Posted June 11, 2020 People will fish them no doubt. Lots of talk on the swimbait pages of guys getting rods built to fish them. Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 If you've got a grand to drop on 22 ounces of wood, hook hangers, and a hinge I imagine you've got money to drop on shoulder surgery. I'll stick with an S-Waver 168. 4 Quote
Hower08 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I don't fish big swimbaits like that here in Ohio . Around 8 inches is biggest swimbait I fish. But I could deffinately see bass attacking that thing. Now dropping a grand on one lure??? Even I think that is crazy talk 1 Quote

Even I think that is crazy talk That's more than I spent setting up all ten of my rigs combined. And we're not talking 'bottom of the barrel' junk either. Two Fuego CTs, a Supreme and a pair of Fury rods are in that mix. 2 Quote

Smalls Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I've already seen some fish caught on it. Funny enough, not many bigger than the bait itself ? Quote
Smells like fish Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Wonder how much full coverage insurance would cost on that thing lol or maybe have a tracking chip installed. Quote

This lure could probably catch muskies but there are better options that cost much less. People will still buy it to put in their lure collection and others will buy it to fish with it. Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted June 12, 2020 Super User Posted June 12, 2020 For that price they could at least throw in a lure retriever! Quote

Ogandrews Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I’ve never really gotten the appeal of Roman made stuff when there are so many good glides on the market. I was doing a little research on the bait and I stumbled across this. This has to be one of the funniest descriptions for a bait I’ve ever seen. https://carolinafishingtackle.com/products/roman-made-mother-chaser-swimbait 3 Quote

Manifestgtr Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I’ll tell you EXACTLY what would happen to me with this bait. I would cast it out once, a humongous pickerel would come lunging out of nowhere on the first cast and break me off, I would drop to my knees as the world spins around me in slow motion. $1000 bait? There’s just no other way it would go for me... 1 Quote
